What we collect

Account data: phone number (required), name, email, profile photo, role(s) you hold.
Booking data: job descriptions, addresses, scheduled times, voice notes, before/after photos.
Specialist verification: NID (National ID) front/back/selfie. Stored encrypted, only accessible to Kaajly trust & safety reviewers.
Usage data: pages visited, features used, device + browser metadata. Aggregated and pseudonymous — we don't sell or share with advertisers.
Payment data: when bKash / card payments go live (Phase 8), the gateway processes card details directly. Kaajly never sees or stores raw card numbers.

How we use it

To match you with specialists or customers nearby.
To hold payments in escrow and release them on completion.
To send booking + delivery notifications (SMS, push, email).
To detect fraud (reCAPTCHA Enterprise, rate limiting).
To improve the product based on aggregated usage patterns.

Who sees your data

The other party in a booking sees:

Your display name + profile photo.
The job address (only after a booking is accepted).
Your phone number once the booking is accepted.

We share data with trusted infrastructure providers (Neon for the database, Vercel for hosting, Firebase for phone auth, Supabase for file storage, Sentry for crash reports, PostHog for product analytics, Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise for bot defence). Each runs under strict data processing agreements.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertising networks, or use it to train third-party AI models.

Your controls

Update your profile from your account.
Delete your account and associated data from the same page (some records — completed orders, tax-relevant payments — are retained for the period the law requires).
Switch off push notifications from your browser or device settings; we honour the choice immediately.
Request a copy of your data by emailing privacy@kaajly.com.

Children

Kaajly is for users 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we'll close the account.

Security

We use HTTPS everywhere, encrypted database connections, role-based access for our small ops team, and audit logs on admin actions. No system is perfect — if you find a security issue, please email security@kaajly.com so we can fix it before public disclosure.

Changes

We'll post any updates here and notify active users in-app. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change.
